Q. Do I need to book a ferry ride to Naoshima?

A. You cannot make a reservation for ferry.
Please come to each ferry terminal by departure time to purchase your ferry ticket.

A. There are marine taxis available, although the numbers are limited. Please contact us.
Q. Do you have a parking area for private cars?

A. Customers staying with us will be able to use a parking spot in SANAMANE customers-only car parking area for 1000 yen per day.
The parking spots are limited, so if you are planning to use the parking spot, please make a note in the “Remarks” section at the time of reservation.
Q. Can I visit you with large/high-roof vehicle?

A. Yes, only if the width of your car is shorter than 2.1 meters
For any cars with the width larger than 2.1 meters, we can guide you to a paid parking area nearby.
Q. Can I recharge electric car at your hotel?

A. Unfortunately, there is no electric car charging station within our premises.
The nearby facility (town hall) has electric car charging station.
Q. Can I go there by motorcycle?

A. Customers staying with us will be able to use a parking spot in SANAMANE customers-only motorcycle parking area for 500 yen per day.
The parking spots are limited, so if you are planning to use the parking spot, please make a note in the “Remarks” section at the time of reservation.
Q. Can I go there by bicycle?

A. Yes. For parking area, please request our staff upon your arrival.
Q. What time is the check-in/check-out?

A. Check-in starts from 15:00, and check-out should be done by 10:00AM.
Check-out time extension can be requested but it depends on the reservation schedule of the day.
Extending the check-out time costs 2000 yen/hour (without tax), and the time can be extended for maximum 12 hours.
Q. Can I send my luggage before my arrival? Can I send my luggage after the check-out?

A. Yes, you can send your luggage to us before your arrival, and yes you can send your luggage at the time of your departure.
When you are sending a luggage to us, please mention “Name of the guest who made the reservation” and “Check-in date” on the delivery invoice, and send your luggage to the address written below.
When you are going to send your luggage, please make sure your delivery will be done by 1 day before the starting date of your accommodation.

Q. Can I use your facility before check-in/after check-out?

A. As a general rule, we request you not to use our facility (i.e. tent area, community space) before check-in/after check-out. You are however allowed to order take out food and drinks from our food shop.

Q. How far in advance can I make the reservation?

A. We accept reservations 6 months prior to the date of your accommodation.
Q. Which credit cards can be used for payment?

A. You can use VISA, MasterCard, JCB, AMEX, Diners, and Discover credit cards for payments.
Q. Which types of AirPay can be used for payment?

A. You can use the following types of online payment services: ALIPAY, WeChat Pay.
Q. Does the cost differ between different types of tents?

A. Price per person depends on what type of tent you choose (the tent on ocean side has semi-double bed). Also, if 1 person is going to use 1 whole tent on their own, we will charge that person for the price of 2 people.
Q. Is there any cancellation fee?

A.The following are the rules for cancellation charges:
Assuming that the day before your check-in date is called “1 day before check-in”,
* 14 – 8 days before check-in: cancellation fee will be 30% of the total charge (excluding tax)
* 7 – 4 days before check-in: cancellation fee will be 50% of the total charge (excluding tax)
* 3 days prior – on the check-in date, or if you did not stay with us at all: cancellation fee will be 100% of the total charge (excluding tax)
Q. I made online reservation, but I have not received any auto-reply email from you.

A. You may have set your email inbox to only receive emails from specific domains, and/or you may have registered wrong email address with us.

Q. Can I stay at your accommodation on the day without reservation?

Q. What time do you accept phone calls for reservation/inquiry?

A. Before we start running our business, we accept phone calls from 10AM until 18:00 during weekdays.
After we start running our business, we will accept phone calls from 10AM until 18:00 every day except Mondays.
Q. Can 1 person stay at your accommodation?

A. Unfortunately we do not have any price set up for 1 person. (we will charge the person for the price of 2 people)
Q. Can I include breakfast in my accommodation plan? Can I exclude meals from my accommodation plan?

A. Unfortunately all plans include breakfast (even if you choose not to eat breakfast, it will be the same price)
Q. Do you have the exact number of beds for the guests?

A. The tent on ocean side includes 2 of semi-double beds and 1 collapsible bed, and all other tents have 2 single beds/2 collapsible beds inside. (Usage fee for a collapsible bed is 3000 yen excluding tax)
Q. How much do you charge for a child?

■For small child up to junior high school child: no charge (separate charges will incur for shared bed & meal, and using extra bed will incur usage fee)
Q. From what age does the child rate apply?

A. Child rate applies for children from 16 years old and older.
We do not charge children younger than 16 years old.
(Use of our facility by under-age guests only is not allowed)
Q. It looks like it will rain on my check-in date. Can I cancel or change the reservation date?

A. Unfortunately if you are to cancel the reservation or change accommodation date (only postponement is allowed if changing accommodation date) due to your personal reason, you will be charged for the cancellation fee accordingly to the rules for cancellation fees.
Q. Due to bad weather, my ferry won’t operate. Will I be charged with cancellation fee?

A. If ferry does not operate due to disaster or bad weather, we will not charge you any cancellation fee even if you cancel the reservation as a result.
Q. I will arrive late. Can you delay the dinner time?

A. We will be able to provide dinner until 21:00.
We can serve you dinner if you can contact us, and come within the service hours.
Q. Can I make a group booking?

Q. Will any staff be present at all times?

A. If there are any guests staying with us on the day, our staff will be present at Central Station 24/7 in order to be able to attend any emergency situations should they happen. (We will inform you of the method to contact our staff upon your arrival)
Q. Can anyone use your facility?

Any individuals who seem to belong to/be involved with anti-social forces, or any individuals who, we determine, will interfere with our safe & peaceful business operations, will be prohibited from using our facility. Please be noted, that if you happen to be the person described in the foregoing statement, we will not refund your reservation fee.

Our tents

Q. Can I smoke inside the tent?

A. All tents, including the outdoor deck areas, are no-smoking areas.
Please use the designated area outside tents if you would like to smoke.
Q. Do you have TV inside the tent?

A. We do not have any TV signal receiving device installed inside our tents.
This is because we would like you to enjoy the outdoor life during your stay with us!
Q. Does your toilet have Washlet functionality?

A. Yes, they have.
Q. Do you offer any amenities?

A. Towels etc, gowns, slippers, toothbrush, razors, shampoo, hair conditioner, body soap, hair dryer are always provided per guest room. For basic cosmetics for females (a set of cleansing gel, face wash, face lotion, moisturizer), please ask the front desk staff.
Q. Do you have amenities for children?

A. We do not have toothbrush, slippers, loungewear (pyjamas) etc. for children so please bring your own.
Q. Do you provide internet access?

A. You can use free Wi-Fi connection within SANAMANE premises, as well as inside the guest rooms.
We do not provide wired internet access via LAN cable.

Inside SANAMANE premises

Q. Do you have coin-operated laundry?

A. We do not have any coin-operated laundry within our premises.
There is a 24/7 coin-operated laundry shop, about 1km from SANAMANE (4 minutes by car, or 12 minutes by walk)
Q. Do you have vending machines within your premises?

A. Yes, we do. However, please request our staff for purchasing alcoholic beverages.

Q. During my stay, can I leave/enter the premises during night time?

A. Partially, yes. We will turn off all lights during night time. Our curfew is set at 23:00.
Q. Can I play with fireworks?

A. You can only play with hand-held fireworks, only during the specified time at the location specified by our staff.

Meals

Q. Where are the eating areas?

A. Meals can be eaten within the eating space on the wooden deck area within our premises.
Q. What time does the eating time start?

A. Dinner starts from either 18:00, or 19:00 (17:00 for BBQ only).
Breakfast starts from either 7AM or 8AM. We will ask you for your preferred time at the time of your reservation.
Q. Do I get to choose the menu?

A. For breakfast, no. But for dinner, you get to choose from BBQ Course A or B, or a dinner course that requires pre-booking.
Q. Can you tell me about breakfast?

A. Do I get to choose how to get my breakfast served?
We kindly ask our guests to come to Food Container to receive breakfast.
Q. Can you prepare a cake for special occasion (birthday) or a bouquet?

A. Yes, we can. Please order it while making reservation for your accommodation.
Q. Will you be able to cater to food allergies if I have one?

A. Yes, we can. Please let us know when you make a reservation with us.
Please note, since all food will be cooked in the same kitchen where foods that contain allergens will also be cooked. Therefore, it will be impossible to completely shut out allergens from getting mixed into your foods.
Q. Will you be able to prepare foods that comply with certain religious practices, or vegetarian food, etc.?

BYO (Bring Your Own)

Q. Can I bring in drinks? Do you have any fees associated with bringing in drinks?

A. Only soft drinks can be brought into our premises free of charge. There is no refrigerator inside the tent.
Q. Can I bring in food or ingredients? Can I cook food within your premises?

A. You cannot bring in food nor ingredients into our premises.
Please note, we do not take any responsibility for food poisoning caused by food or ingredients that are brought into our premises from the outside.
Q. Can I bring in firewood, coal, or charcoal?

A. For safety reasons, we do not allow guests bringing in firewood, coal or charcoal into the premises.
We do have plenty of firewood prepared for you for the fireplaces.
You are not allowed to burn anything other than firewood provided by us.
Bringing in firepit itself, or making a bonfire or an open fire on the spot other than fireplaces provided, will be prohibited.
Q. Can I bring in gas burner, gasoline stove, or lanterns?

A. You are not allowed to bring in appliances and gas stove into our premises.
You may only use the ones that we have prepared for you.
For lanterns, please use battery-operated lanterns that are provided for you.
Q. Can I bring in my own tent or tarpaulin?

A. You are not allowed to bring in tent or tarpaulin into our premises.

Regarding safety

Q. The rain is forecasted, but can I still use your facility?

A. Yes you can without any issue.
However, the tarpaulin installed on the tent terrace may not be able to completely shut out wind and rain.
Q. The snow (or strong wind) is forecasted, but can I still use your facility?

A. You can use our facility, however, if its heavy snow, or if the wind is too strong due to typhoon etc, then we may ask you to move to different accommodation facilities, or we may stop running our business.
Q. Can you explain what to do in case of fire or emergency?

A. Please listen to the instructions given by our staff, and gather at Community Ground etc.

Facilities in the surrounding area

Q. Any convenience store or supermarket nearby?

A. There is Seven Eleven convenience store, about 1km from SANAMANE (4 minutes by car, or 12 minutes by walk), however please note they operate until 22:00.
Also, there is a supermarket which is 10 minutes away by car from SANAMANE.
Q. Are there any gas stations?

Q. Are there any public baths?

A. You can swim at the beach in front of SANAMANE.
However, please note there will be no supervisor/rescue team present, so please swim at your own risk.

Using our facility

Q. Do you have wheelchair access?

A. Yes, we do, but there are some differences in level, so we recommend using our facility with your caregiver.
Q. I am visually/hearing impaired, but do you have systems installed such as braille, tactile paving, audio guide, etc?

A. Unfortunately we do not have any special systems installed within our premises.
Q. Can I use your facility with my guide dog?

A. Yes, you can, however we will not be able to prepare dog foods nor pet supplies like toilet mats etc. for your dog.
Q. I would like to recommend non-Japanese speaking members the visit to your facility, but will you be able to accommodate us with the communications?

A. Yes, we can in English. Also during emergency situation, we will use offline audio translation tool that is installed at the front desk to communicate in English, Chinese and Korean.

Regarding pets

Q. Can I bring my dog with me to your facility?

A. Staying with us with your pets are not allowed, and we do not look after your pets either.
